Growing up in a very large Irish "Cathaholic" family, and struggling as a working single mother for 20 years, gave Nancy Witter all the comedic material she needed to sustain her throughout her long standing comedy career. Nancy has won 3 New York City MAC Awards for "Outstanding Female Comedian" and a MAC Award for her one woman show "Dignity Check...Please". Nancy was a finalist on "Nick at Nite's Search for the Funniest Mom in America". Soon after, she joined two other finalists and they toured the country for five years performing in sold out theaters with the hit comedy show "Mama's Night Out". The New York Times has described Nancy as having "a razor sharp wit" and Backstage Magazine added her to their list of "Comedy Best Bets".
In 2019 Nancy was crowned Senior Ms. New York America, and had the honor of being second runner up in Ms. Senior America at the National Pageant in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Nancy, along with Ms. Senior America, appeared on the Rachel Ray show on a segment that highlighted fun and useful tips for seniors. Our Nancy ended up on the floor to show women what to do when they shout “help I’ve fallen and I can’t get up”. She got down to show women how to get up!
Nancy also received her professional certification in life coaching from NYU and used both her comedic skills and life coaching experience to write “Who’s Better than Me? A Guide to Living Happily Ever After” Nancy has moved to Wilmington, North Carolina where she continues to perform comedy in theaters, and clubs, she is a coveted humorous motivational speaker, comedy teacher and coach.
